Federal authorities have seized nearly four tons of fish from a vessel based in Dulac and cited captain and crew with fisheries violations.
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration spokeswoman Kim Amendola says they’re accused of fishing with live bait on longlines, using J-hooks, which are forbidden on longlines, and working without proper gear to safely release sea turtles.
She said Thursday she cannot release names.
