St. Martin Parish: Man arrested after dropping drug pipe in front of deputy

ST. MARTIN PARISH, LA (WAFB) –
A Franklin, LA man is behind bars in the St. Mary Parish jail after dropping a metal pipe commonly used to smoke illegal drugs on the ground in front of a deputy.

Gerald Mitchell, Sr., 55, was arrested on October 16, 2012 at 8:32 p.m. on Irish Bend Road near Gum Point Lane in Franklin for obstruction of justice, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a Schedule II drug (crack cocaine).
