Mitt Romney called Samantha Pawlucy on Wednesday, a spokeswoman for the campaign confirmed by email this morning.
Pawlucy, 16, made headlines last week when she accused her geometry teacher at Charles Carroll High School of publicly humiliating her for wearing a Romney-Ryan t-shirt to school. Pawlucy’s family said their daughter will no longer be attending the school.
The teacher, Lynette Gaymon, has not returned to the school. She is waiting for the results of a school district investigation and hearing.
