Deville, LA: Pot, Meth, Guns Found In Home

DEVILLE, La. – Detectives from the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office found drug paraphernalia and guns at 253 Hazmuka Road in Deville, after sheriff deputies got a tip that meth was being sold from the home.

According to sheriff’s office reports, detectives spoke with Nancy Plunkett and Michael Proveaux and while talking to Proveaux, they noticed a marijuana bong on a table.

Detectives obtained a search warrant and searched the house. They found several bags and containers that held methamphetamine, numerous methamphetamine smoking pipes, a bag of synthetic marijuana, a bag of marijuana, five marijuana pipes, a marijuana grinder, numerous assorted prescription pills, digital scales, small plastic baggies, a container of MSM (commonly used to cut methamphetamine to increase quantity), a .357 revolver and a .44 magnum handgun.

Plunkett, 40, and Proveaux, 39, were both found to be convicted felons. They were arrested on several charges for possession of marijuana, meth and having firearms.
