Alexandria, LA: Arrest Made In 14th Street Shooting

ALEXANDRIA, La. – A man surrendered to police who is believed to be connected to the 14th Street shooting that left a local man dead Sunday.
Late Sunday night, Gregory J. Nash, Jr., 23, of Alexandria turned himself in to detectives and was later charged with one-count second degree murder.
According to the Alexandria Police Department, officers received word that a man was shot in the 300 block of 14th Street around 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
While police couldn’t confirm the name of the victim, his girlfriend and neighbors say his name is Tamarcus Reed and that he died after being shot.
