Alexandria, LA: Arrests Made In Hit And Run

According to APD, 17-year-old Kendrick Dixon, Jr. and 18-year-old Santana Sanders of Alexandria were arrested in connection to the incident. On Thursday afternoon, police arrested 22-year-old Kendrick Pearson and he was formally charged.

ALEXANDRIA, La. – Three arrests were made in the hit and run that injured two children in Alexandria on Wednesday morning.

According to APD, 17-year-old Kendrick Dixon, Jr. and 18-year-old Santana Sanders of Alexandria were arrested in connection to the incident.

On Thursday afternoon, police arrested 22-year-old Kendrick Pearson and he was formally charged.

Police say two children, ages 7 and 10, were waiting for the school bus at the corner of Harris and Branch street when a car, that had been reported stolen last month, hit the curb and struck them. The people inside the car then ran away.

Dixon was charged with hit and run, unauthorized use of a vehicle and no driver’s license. Sanders was charged with one count of accessory.

The schoolchildren were taken to the hospital and have since been released with minor injuries.
