2011: ‘Happy Days’ cast members sue CBS

THEY were the perfect TV family but these are no longer happy days for the Cunninghams.

Most of the main cast of the hit ’70s and ’80s series Happy Days are suing producers for royalties they claim they are owed from the use of their images on DVD packaging and merchandise.

Anson Williams (Potsie Weber), Marion Ross (Marion Cunningham), Don Most (Ralph Malph), Erin Moran (Joanie Cunningham) and the widow of Tom Bosley (Howard Cunningham) yesterday took the first step to receiving their claimed entitlements.

A US judge denied a motion by the makers of the series to dismiss the claims of the former cast.
