LIVINGSTON, LA — Robert Ringo, a former member of the Livingston Parish Council, was arrested Wednesday and again Thursday on suspicion of running “one of the bigger” prescription drug-selling rings in the parish, authorities said.
Ringo, 50, 17160 Lisa Drive, and four other people were arrested Wednesday after deputies obtained a warrant to search his Satsuma home, said Chief Deputy Jason Ard of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies found more than 1,700 Oxycodone and other prescription drug pills and $6,000 in cash on Ringo when they searched his house, Ard said.
Each pill can be sold illegally for about $30, making the total worth some $51,000, Ard said.
