WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) – Republican Congressman Bill Cassidy is running for U.S. senate, hoping to beat incumbent Mary Landrieu.
Bill Cassidy has been serving Louisiana residents as a congressman for five years. He came to this port in West Monroe to talk about economic development and to tour the state as he prepares to battle incumbent Senator Mary Landrieu next November.
“This election coming up is an opportunity for us in Louisiana to begin to redirect our countries future and I’m looking forward to how it goes,” said Bill Cassidy.
Cassidy started his career as a doctor and he says one area that separates him from Landrieu is his stance on Obama care.
