Louisiana investigators have released toxicology report information concerning an accident that claimed the life of Southeast Texas journalist Bill Leger.
Trooper Stephen Hammons of Louisiana State Police Troop I tells 12 News that Leger’s blood alcohol content was .26 grams percent blood alcohol concentration. Hammons says the accident remains under investigation.
The driver of the second car, 52-year-old Clint Melancon of Carencro, was arrested for DWI after police say his blood alcohol level was over the legal limit. He was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for DWI 1st offense. He has since been released after posting a $1,000 bond.
