A former Louisiana College faculty member — once voted Professor of the Year by the student body — has called for the removal of college President Joe Aguillard in an open letter posted online to members of the Board of Trustees.
Scott Culpepper, who now teaches at Dordt College in Iowa, wrote his letter as the board was preparing to meet Monday in what was described on social media as an “emergency meeting.”
The meeting was closed to the public. LC officials declined to disclose what was discussed in the meeting.
“Since it was held in executive session, nothing from this meeting can be reported,” college spokesman John Willie said Monday night.
