Jefferson County –
A spokesperson for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office told 12News that a woman whose body was found in Jefferson County Friday has been identified as a missing Crosby, Texas woman.
Kimberly Grant, 51, of Crosby, was reported missing Sunday.
Investigators say Grant died of a single gunshot wound. Her body was found Friday near Tram Road just north of Beaumont.

BEAUMONT — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has positively identified the murder victim whose body was found late Friday as Kimberly Grant, 51, of Crosby.
Investigators are still trying to locate the victim’s vehicle, described as a gold Cadillac SUV SRX with Texas License Plate: BN2-T228. Anyone with information about Ms. Grant or the location of her vehicle should contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 409-835-8734 or Beaumont’s Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading the arrest of the person or persons

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office released new information about a woman found dead in a field last friday.
She died from gunshot wounds, but they still don’t know who she is or who did it.
Deputies are still asking for the public’s help using every bit of information to identify the woman.

She is a black female, 300 lbs and stood about 5 feet, 9 inches.
The woman was between 40 and 50 years old with black graying hair.
