JEFFERSON, La. — The Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office has decided not to prosecute a former sheriff’s office deputy who allegedly sold synthetic marijuana after it was made illegal in Louisiana.
Sheriff Newell Normand said he fired a deputy after an investigation revealed he had sold illegal, synthetic marijuana.
Late Wednesday night a spokesman said that Jefferson Parish District Attorney Paul Connick’s office has decided not to prosecute former Deputy Scott Sigur.
