HANCOCK COUNTY — A man wanted on an attempted murder charge involving his mother in Louisiana was found sleeping in a vehicle in McLeod Park in Kiln, Sheriff Ricky Adam said.
Jacobi Brumfield, 22, of Hammond, La., was wanted by the Ponchatoula Police Department on a charge of attempted first-degree murder. He had been sought on a fugitive warrant for seven days.
He is accused of firing a shot through the front door of his mother’s home Jan. 13 after an argument at her residence. Ponchatoula police said his mother asked him to leave. She had been sitting on the sofa and got up to secure the front door when a bullet pierced the door and lodged in the sofa.
