Law enforcement officers spent hours Tuesday scouring the North Austin corporate headquarters and warehouses of Twin Liquors, but spokesmen for several state and federal agencies declined to reveal why the search was taking place.
Even as representatives from the FBI, Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation Division and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission could be seen boxing up items inside the building at 5639 Airport Blvd., near Highland Mall, it was business as usual at Twin Liquors stores across Central Texas, with cash registers still ringing up sales.
Company employees declined to speak with reporters.
