BATON ROUGE, La. — The top lawyer for Gov. Bobby Jindal’s administration has resigned from the job after three months.
The governor’s office gave no reason Friday for Gary Graphia’s decision to leave the position of executive counsel that he took in October. Instead, Jindal announced his replacement while thanking Graphia for his service.
Jindal spokesman Sean Lansing said Graphia didn’t write a resignation letter.
Lansing didn’t immediately respond to a question about why Graphia stepped down.
The governor’s new executive counsel will be Thomas Enright, effective Feb. 4.
