The twenty [or] so cats were left there by the former renter at the home on Butler Lane. D-Arensbourg says the cats were very friendly when she would take them food. She was devastated when she heard the news. Several of the cats had been shot in the eye others in the rectum. She says she knows of no reason why someone would have done this.
D-Arensbourg and some of her fellow volunteers are asking for any information leading to the arrest of the cat killer.

As a cat[s] owner this makes me livid and sick!
Cats are for petting, not hunting. It takes very little skill to shoot a tame animal. So the thrill is just in it’s death.
I do not understand the joy that some people get killing an animal that isn’t causing you any harm and that you don’t intend to eat.
