SLIDELL, La. —
Deputies in St. Tammany Parish are looking for the man investigators said is responsible for a fatal shooting in Slidell.
Authorities are looking for Dwight Travis Ambo, 22, in connection with the shooting death of Sherman Deas.
Investigators said Deas was gunned down about 2 a.m. Sunday.
“Anyone we find helping to hide Dwight Ambo or otherwise obstructing our investigation into this homicide will be arrested and put in jail for accessory to murder after the fact and obstruction of justice,” Strain said.
A maximum penalty for obstruction of justice is 40 years in prison at hard labor and a $100,000 fine. An accessory after the fact penalty can carry up to five years in prison at hard labor and a $500 fine.
Anyone with information on Ambo’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
