A Senate resolution asking several state agencies to investigate Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast as the group begins construction on a new health-care facility in New Orleans received final passage Tuesday in the Louisiana House.
Senate Concurrent Resolution 57 by Sen. Danny Martiny, R-Metairie, urges and requests the state Department of Health and Hospitals, the Division of Administration, the legislative auditor and the Office of the Inspector General to monitor Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast to see whether the organization has been abusing its federal dollars to provide or recommend abortions.
