Gov. Bobby Jindal says he is ‘absolutely not’ running for U.S. Senate | #Louisiana

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said Monday he is “absolutely not” running for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Mary Landrieu, echoing the recent comments of one of his senior advisers.

Rumors that Jindal planned to challenge Landrieu swirled after political columnist John Maginnis wrote a column saying that instead of running for president, the governor is likely positioning himself to run for Senate. Curt Anderson, a political adviser to the governor, then told the National Journal that Jindal had no interest in the position.
