  1. Tragic. The press report makes it almost sound like the Adam Walsh case in that the child was separated from her parent when the predator struck.

    • The difference between this and the Adam Walsh abduction is that Adam was taken while he wandered off for a second, and this girl’s mother willingly let her daughter walk off with a man she had just met. As a parent of two young boys, I would never trust a man I didn’t know with my children. This woman wasn’t the least bit suspicious of a middle-aged man who wants to take her daughter to McDonald’s. I’m sure the mother is agonizing over this decision in the wake of the murder, and rightfully so. I don’t want to disparage her, but a parent needs to protect their child. What possible reason could she have for letting a stranger walk off with her daughter? This wasn’t an accident, this should have never happened.
