LAFAYETTE – The happy ending for three missing women in Cleveland provides inspiration for at least one local family.
Keiosha Felix’s family has been waiting for little more than a year for similar results.
Images of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight returning alive to their families after nearly a decade fuels the hope Felix may also be reunited with her loved ones.
“You can’t help but be inspired by it,” said volunteer organizer Tammy Charles, who has pushed efforts to find Felix. “It makes people realize that … the search for her is no less significant now than it was a year ago.”
Known as “Red” to her family, Felix was last seen leaving her paternal aunt’s mobile home in Duson on April 30, 2012. Her 16th birthday was last month, April 8.
