NEW ORLEANS — Family and friends have flown in from California to try and find Terrilyn Monette. They are searching City Park for any sign of her.
More than 20 people split up into three teams — Alpha, Beta and Charlie — and all searching for one person, Terrilyn Monette.
“The group right now, they’re calling out her name, going back over the same area,” said Leary Hughes, a Monette family friend.
She was last seen Saturday at Parlay’s bar in Lakeview. Her late model Honda is also missing. City Park is just a few blocks away.
“I think this is one of the directions she could have possibly taken to go home,” said Toni Enclade, Monette’s mother. So, we’re just trying to see if we can find some kind of clue.”
Enclade led the Alpha team to try to find any clue to the whereabouts of her daughter, who is a second grade teacher.
“We’re just out here looking for any type of clues or anything that could possibly be my daughter,” Enclade said. “She was wearing glasses, jewelry, anything. Any type of clue that my lead us to her.”
As they searched the park, family and friends said they were holding onto hope.
