Truck Driver Injured, Cited In MacArthur Crash

Investigators say the truck was traveling southbound on I-49 and exited onto the MacArthur Drive. While making the exit, police say the truck impacted the guard rail, which caused the truck to jump the rail. The accident shutdown the interstate for about two hours, investigators say.

The driver, Charles Jones, 30, of Alexandria was transported to a local hospital for moderate injuries. Officers say he was also cited for one count [of failure to] maintain control of a vehicle.
