CONCORDIA PARISH- The Saline-Larto Complex is one of the biggest recreational areas in Cenla because it spans four parishes. The Cross Bayou Weir has given way once again and the water level is dropping. News Channel Five’s Nolan Crane spoke with some residents and business owners who want a permanent fix.
Leon Woodson is just one business owner that relies on the Saline-Larto Complex to make a living. He says the depth of the water is critical to not only businesses but also recreational activities.
“Low water affects the fishing because the boaters don’t want to put down into the water their $50,000 boats,” says Leon Woodson.
