ALEXANDRIA, La. – A Deville man is being held without bond at the Rapides Parish jail Thursday for possession of firearms by a convicted felon.
On April 19, 2012, Phillip Wayne Raines, 48 of 1056 Philadelphia Rd. in Deville, was also found guilty of sexual battery in a jury trial, which is a felony conviction, according to reports from the sheriff’s office.

Former registered nurse Phillip Raines on Friday was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for the sexual battery of a male patient who was sedated after an emergency appendectomy.
State district Judge Thomas Yeager said Raines, 47, married and the father of four, will serve the time in jail at hard labor without the possibility of parole or probation.
Once he’s out of prison, Raines will have to register as a sex offender.
I guess his 2 year prison sentence hadn’t started yet.
