Brusly Police Chief Jamie Whaley said Ray Charles Hayes, 50, 979 Avenue C in Port Allen, was shot and killed by an Addis police officer after he threatened to kill a woman he had taken hostage after he robbed Noah’s Pharmacy in Brusly around 6 p.m. Monday.
PORT ALLEN- A kidnapper was shot and killed by authorities in West Baton Rouge Monday night, after threatening to shoot and kill the hostage he snatched at gunpoint earlier in the evening.
The man’s name has not been released. The hostage is recovering from injuries sustained after a car crash connected to the whole ordeal.
The situation unfolded just after 6:00 p.m. at Noah’s Pharmacy in Brusly. A man, wearing a ski mask, entered the business attempting to rob the pharmacy of prescription drugs and cash.
