The Left Misrepresents South Carolina Tea Party Event – And all I ever wanted to do was doodle…

No matter what Conservatives do to make their case, the Alinsky-bound Left is determined to continue the narrative of angry white racists.

Did you know there was a Tea Party convention in South Carolina, last weekend? Well if you read the Huffington Post or any number of Left Wing blogs, you do now. Because some yahoo, decided it would be funny to show up in a T-Shirt, with a caricature of the President as a Witch Doctor.

Bush as a monkey, Bush as Hitler,  Bush as a Nazi  – all the grotesque cartoons of Condoleezza Rice.  All just fine I guess because I don’t remember the MSM or the Huffington Post getting too bent out of shape over any of  the stuff.  But depict President Obama in some unflattering way… “Release the Kraken!”

The yahoo isn’t even a Tea Party supporter and the whole context of the story is that people at the Tea Party event loved it…because the yahoo said so.

This is not much different than when some “investigative” journalists wanting to create a story by going to a NASCAR race and incite people there to say hateful racist things.

And above all that, none of the cartoons are clever, none of it is avant-garde.  It’s old hat.  It’s  tired worn out memes.

Disagree with a liberal…call him a dope smoking pot-head baby killer that doesn’t bathe. Disagree with a conservative call him a bible thumping racist Nazi gun nut…blah blah blah.  I get so tired of it from both sides.  None of it helps solve any problems, and often creates new problems.

I don’t want to be serious all the time.  I don’t want to spend my ever waking hours pondering everything that is wrong with the world. I never really wanted to blog about news. I wanted to blog about art and fun stuff and draw cute cartoons that have nothing to do with politics.   I am not interested in doing cartoons that try to shock people – get people to think – or push some cause, just a chuckle, a reprieve from all the insanity.

I have experienced a lot of animosity from some people because in general I like to be silly, some folks have no time for silly apparently…and because I am silly they think I have no serious thoughts whatsoever about the world around me.

This is of course just isn’t true.   I just don’t think I need to wear my politics on my sleeve everywhere I go.

I  want to be informed and I have to look at all this stuff anyway just to try and make heads or tails of all the garbage for myself.  It only made sense for me to switch gears and start blogging about the junk I see to try to help others just like me find some kernel of truth in all of it with a focus on Louisiana since I live here.  It also takes a lot of effort to share all this news with you dear readers and I find myself with less time and energy to doodle.  Politics, crime, and all that does not inspire me to draw.  I have tried to do political cartoons here and there, it just isn’t my bag man…bag lady.

Happy things…good times…fun stuff…silliness inspire me.

I have never claimed to be a writer either, so if my sentence structure isn’t to your satisfaction, or my spelling is off, or my punctuation is atrocious and it drives you up the wall… [where is this wall located?] …and you don’t like run on sentences…that run on and on…and stuff…seemingly without end…almost…infinite…to the point of obnoxiousness…

… you’re a frigging Spelling Punctuation Grammar Nazi that eats baby seals for breakfast and shoot paint balls at defenseless unicorns in your spare time to try and spear them on the horn.

You just might be Hitler…or a Witch Doctor…or something…something avant-garde, something shocking, something that promotes political discourse and furthers a cause.

Are you so far to one side that you can’t see the middle?

I’ve had enough doom and gloom for this week.

I am taking the rest of the day off…to shoot zombies or something.

I might even take a walk around the block and do something silly…you know…just to offend the serious people that have no time for silliness who care more about the world around them than I do.

Most likely though I will just go back to sleep.  I suffer from melancholy and all this garbage in the news does not help my mood swings.
