EMMANUEL, La. – Two suspects are in jail Thursday in connection with burglaries around Gorum on Dec. 10, investigators say.
According to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones, Jr., they are connected a camp house burglary and the burglary of a utility shed at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery in the Emmanuel community near Chopin.
Carmello Casciari II, 20, of the 100 block of Catholic Church Road in Gorum was arrested and charged with one-additional count of simple burglary in connection with the utility shed burglary.
Chasity Paige Edwards, 19, of the 100 block of Catholic Church Road in Gorum, who is currently at the Avoyelles Women’s Correctional Facility on a unrelated burglary charge, will also be charged with one-count of principal to simple burglary, the report stated.
