Boy, 13, accidentally shot and killed by 14-Year-Old

PRAIRIEVILLE — Deputies arrested a 14-year-old boy Saturday accused of accidentally shooting a 13-year-old boy to death Friday night in a mobile home after smoking marijuana, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office reported.

Deputies also arrested three adults who were in the trailer at the time of the shooting, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Deputies summoned to 14269 Oak Meadow St. in Prairieville learned that Christian Crain had been fatally wounded by a gunshot to the head while playing with a .38 special revolver in a bedroom with two other teenagers — an unnamed 14-year-old boy and Devin Himel, 18.
