In the past four days, there have been three armed robberies in Lafayette Parish. Police say the victims were all female and held at gunpoint.
“The individual approached the female victim that was walking to her car, brandished a firearm, demanded keys and fled the area in the car,” said Corporal Paul Mouton.
The first incident happened Monday at 2:30pm, outside a business in the 300 block of Vermilion Street. The second was on Wednesday, at 11:15 am in the 1000 block of Foreman Drive. And the third robbery happened Thursday morning in the 2000 block of Johnston Street. Police do believe the first robbery and the second were committed by the same person.
And that suspect is believed to be a black male, between 5’8″ and 5’10”, around 175 pounds, with a thin mustache. The suspect in the Foreman Drive robbery is described as a black male wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt.
