While this case has remained cold for quite some time, the sheriff’s office wants to stress they don’t believe this case is connected to serial killers Derrick Todd Lee or Brandon Scott Lavergne.
“We are looking into this as an isolated case in our area. At this time, there’s no evidence, non what-so-ever that makes us believe this is related to Brandon Lavergne or Derrick Todd Lee in any form or fashion,” said Lt. Carnline.
But makes for a flashy headline doesn’t it…why not just add “Is cold case related to alien abduction and the Illuminati?” Why are they stressing that it isn’t related to Derrick Todd Lee or Brandon Lavergne? Was the media panting this question with bated breathe hoping for a possible scoop? Will they lose interest now? Were people calling and asking this question so much that the RPSO felt the need to squash loose unverified rumors before they were spread? I just find it odd.
