Dec., Jan shrimping closures announced

BATON ROUGE (AP) — Louisiana’s Wildlife and Fisheries Commission has announced plans to close shrimping in portions of Louisiana’s offshore territorial waters.

The commission says in a news release it’s a measure taken this time of year to allow small white shrimp to grow to more marketable sizes.
