Lafayette does not have white Christmases. They’re brown, tan and grey.
But that doesn’t stop us from celebrating the season! Here are some events going on in or around Lafayette during December.
1. Christmas at Coteau
When: Nov. 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Academy of the Sacred Heart, 1821 Academy Road, Grand Coteau, La.
Cost: $7
What: This is a shameless plug for my old high school. Located in historic Grand Coteau, the event features dozens of local boutiques and vendors for a two-day shopping extravaganza.
2. Noel Acadian au Village
When: Dec. 1 to 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: LARC’s Acadian Village, Lafayette
Cost: $9 at the gate, $7 in advance
