NEW ORLEANS —

A 58-year-old fugitive from Terrebonne Parish refused to leave a hospital, claiming he couldn’t control his bowel movements.

Police were called to the Thibodaux Regional Medical Center about 4:30 a.m. when a man refused to leave the hospital.

Employees told police Hinton checked himself into the hospital for abdominal pain. After receiving treatment and being discharged, police said, Hinton refused to leave.

According to the news release from the Thibodaux Police Department, when Hinton refused to leave, he defecated “all over the lobby bathroom,” and sought to check himself back in, claiming “fecal incontinence.”

When officers arrived at the hospital, the warrants for his arrest were discovered, and he was taken into custody.
