The release from Sheriff Doug Anderson states [that] Blaine J. Roy, 50, of 8009 La. Highway 107, was arrested and charged with the manufacturing and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance I (marijuana).
It began with information received that Roy was growing marijuana at his residence, according to the release. A search of the house found a hydroponic system with growing tents, lighting, ventilation and watering systems. Investigators seized 36 suspected marijuana plants in various stages of growth, along with several pounds of harvested marijuana valued at about $45,000, according to the release.
In addition, deputies also seized 19 rifles, one semi-automatic handgun, an all-terrain vehicle and a boat.
