Gretna, LA: Woman accused of trying to kill cellmate

Chasity Griffin rebooked Wednesday

GRETNA, La. —

A 23-year-old Denham Springs woman is accused of beating her cellmate after she failed at her initial attempt to smother the woman.

The Advocate reports Chasity Griffin was re-booked Wednesday with simple battery by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office after the incident in the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center.
