Alexandria, LA: RPSO Hold Halloween Sex Offender Class

ALEXANDRIA, La. – With Halloween next week, Sheriff William Earl Hilton said Friday that parents should be critical about the houses their children should avoid when trick-or-treating.

“I invite you to visit our website at http://www.rpso.org/ and click on the PROGRAMS icon and then select Sex Offender Registry and research the neighborhoods and addresses that are important to you,” Hilton said.  “It is the goal of our office to provide accurate information to the public regarding the dangers of sexual predators and to further build community awareness,”  he also said in a statement.

Currently, the sheriff’s office has 340 registered sex offenders. On Halloween, the sheriff’s office will be assisting Louisiana Division of Probation and Parole with its Sex Offender Educational Session, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., at 1534 Lee St. in Alexandria.
