

LAFAYETTE, La. – Two St. Landry Parish School Board members were indicted by a federal grand jury for one count of conspiracy to commit bribery and two counts of bribery.
A federal grand jury returned a three-count indictment late Wednesday afternoon charging Quincy Richard, Sr., 50, and John Miller, 71, both of Opelousas, La., with one count of conspiracy to commit bribery and two counts of bribery.
According to documents from the office of U.S. Attorney Stephanie A. Finley, from July until Sept. 24, the members conspired together to obtain money for their vote concerning the position of superintendent of St. Landry Parish Schools.
