BATON ROUGE, La. —
Former star LSU football players Tyrann Mathieu and Jordan Jefferson were arrested on Thursday in Baton Rouge on drug charges.
Mathieu and Jefferson were arrested Thursday afternoon about 3:30 p.m. at an apartment. A man was attempting to force his way into the complex, police said, and made his way to Mathieu’s apartment.
When officers arrived at the apartment, Mathieu answered the door and officers said they could smell a strong odor of marijuana. After searching the apartment, police said they found three others — former LSU players Jordan Jefferson, Derrick Bryant and Karnell Hatcher.
