An NOPD lieutenant was killed in an accident near Hattiesburg, Miss. on Saturday, when a car believed to be speeding struck the sports car he was a riding in, causing him to be ejected, police said. First District Lt. Christopher Cambiotti, 42, was a 15-year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department who was known for his positive attitude and “exemplary” police work, NOPD Superintendent Ronal Serpas said in a statement.
