By Monday afternoon, Pastor Bruce Maxwell knew something was wrong with his life-long friend and co-worker James Roberts.
Pastor Bruce Maxwell, Bentley United Pentecostal Church: “We didn’t know where he was, where the plane was. We were all on the edge of our seats.”
On Sunday evening, Roberts, an experienced pilot, had boarded a single-engine Cessna 172 from Buhlow airport headed to Texas. On Monday afternoon, the plane and Roberts’ body were found in a wooded area near Simpson.
