ALEXANDRIA, LA – A fire has been reported at Martin Park Elementary School in Alexandria on Friday morning.
Classes at the school have been canceled for Friday.
Any students who were dropped off early or brought over by a daycare service can be picked up at Horseshoe Drive Elementary School.

Alexandria, LA: Officials arrest 12-year-old in Martin Park fire | #Beet’s B.O.O.T.
A 12-year-old boy was arrested Monday afternoon in connection with the fire at Martin Park Elementary School, said Larry King, chief of fire prevention for the Alexandria Fire Department.
The juvenile, a student at Martin Park, was charged with one count of simple arson. King does not expect more arrests regarding the fire.
