PINEVILLE, La. – Pineville police responded Wednesday morning to a major accident that killed one man and injured another.
Pineville Police officers say 21-year-old Wesley Davenport was traveling east on La. Hwy 28 when he collided with 59-year-old Lloyd Ivey, who was pulling out of a Texaco gas station.
Both drivers were taken to Rapides Regional Medical Center to be treated for injuries.
Davenport was pronounced dead at the hospital Wednesday evening. Ivey is listed in guarded condition.
Police say the only occupants of both vehicles were the drivers.
The accident was still being investigated Wednesday evening.
