Alexandria, LA: Hit And Run Leaves Children Injured

ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Alexandria Police Department is currently investigating a hit and run accident where two children were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Harris and Branch streets at 7:54 a.m. Wednesday.

When officers arrived, they found two children, who were waiting on a school bus, struck by a vehicle that ran onto the curb. The children, ages 7 and 10, were transported to local hospitals to be treated for injuries and released.

Officers say the suspects in the vehicle fled on foot. Police say they have developed a person of interest in this incident.
