The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating several acts of Vandalism in the Poland Community of South Rapides Parish.
Complainants called RPSO to report their mail boxes being destroyed.
“We have seen this in the past and we have made some arrests before” said Major Mark Wood, Enforcement Division Commander.
“We are asking for the public’s help in this area around Highway 457.
If anyone has seen anything suspicious or have any information, please call us at 318 473 6700.”
Criminal Damage to a mailbox is not a federally investigated crime.
However, theft of mail is and the United States Postal Inspector may be notified at 877 876 2455.
Local Law Enforcement should also be notified to take an initial report.
