LAPLACE, La. —
Authorities arrested Mark Knight, 46, on Tuesday at the Disaster Supplement Nutrition Assistance Program in St. John the Baptist Parish.
Knight became irate when his claim was denied at DNSAP, a claims processor told authorities. He was detained on aggravated assault and terrorizing charges.
Louisiana State Police Troopers, St. John the Baptist Parish sheriff’s deputies and members of the Louisiana National Guard were providing security on Tuesday. They said they saw Knight go to his vehicle to get an item. Authorities subdued him and said he had a fully loaded AR-15 rifle.
Knight was booked into St. John the Baptist Parish Correctional Center. Bond is set at $20,000.
