Blast Fired Near Seafood Restaurant, Shooter Sought

A shrimper was shot dead Sunday after getting into an apparent rift, which led to a fatal shotgun blast on board his vessel near a seafood restaurant, deputies said.

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday night that Hung M. Vo, a shrimper was shot dead by an unknown white male around 3:35 Sunday in Dulac.

Detectives say an altercation between Vo, 49, and the suspect took place before that suspect left, returned with a shotgun and fired at Vo, killing him as he stood on his boat in the 95-hundred block of Grand Caillou Road.
