Norco Couple Murder Suicide: As teenage daughter watched

According to Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Pat Yoes, Otto Barrera Jr., 46, of 35 Good Hope St., and his estranged wife, Catherine, whose age was unknown Monday, were together in the tiny cottage Sunday about 6 p.m. An argument ensued, Yoes said.

The couple’s teenage daughter told deputies that her father grabbed a gun and shot her mother once in the head

Yoes said the teen ran to a neighbor’s house for help.

Yoes said Barrera managed to walk out of the house despite having shot himself in the face.

Yoes said Barrera will be booked with attempted murder.
