Wayne Chustz
The APD was called to a residence in the 40 Block of Westwood in reference to an unauthorized use of a vehicle. Upon arrival, the investigation found that Wayne Chustz had taken a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado without the owner’s consent.
Shortly afterwards, officers located the vehicle in the area of Monroe and Macarthur Dr. where officers initiated a traffic stop. As one officer was exiting his unit, the suspect rammed that officers unit. A short vehicle pursuit ensued with the driver losing control of his vehicle, hitting a utility pole at the intersection of Texas Avenue and Elliot St.
The driver, identified as Wayne Chustz, was taken into custody without further incident.
